I have done a lot of HDR work using various HDR software programs like Photoshop, Photomatix, and a host of freeware from the Internet. All programs work but only one stands out from the crowd, Everimaging's HDR Darkroom 3, released in December 2013. If you are like me you want powerful state of the art software that offers all of the features possible in its category.

Unfortunately software with these attributes usually come with a steep learning curve. To my delight and surprise HDR Darkroom 3 has managed to break the learning curve barrier! I have been interested in HDR for many years and have hundreds, if not thousands, of HDR exposures collected, many of which still need to be processed. I have spent days, not hours, downloading and trying different HDR software programs.

It had the natural look I wanted using the program’s default settings. The only adjustment I needed to make was to bring up the shadows just slightly.

Since, I have spent several hours with Darkroom 3, processed many images, and used most of the features contained in the program. The advanced adjustment sliders are intuitive and easy to use but if you are not a geek just use one of the many single click presets. They are well thought out, artistically pleasing and have enough choices to fit most tastes. I give this program five+ stars.
